Nykymonarkkien ikäpresidentti joutui jälleen sairaalahoitoon
Thaimaan 86-vuotias kuningas Bhumibol Adulyadej on kärsinyt jo vuosia heikosta terveydestä.
Vuosia heikosta terveydestä kärsinyt Thaimaan kuningas Bhumibol Adulyadej on joutunut jälleen sairaalahoitoon. Tällä kertaa syynä on infektio, jonka syystä ei ole tietoa.
Thaimaan hovin mukaan 86-vuotiaan kuninkaan tila on kohentunut jonkin verran antibioottikuurin ansiosta.
Kuninkaan, jonka hallitsijanimi on Rama IX, edellinen sairaalavierailu päättyi vain pari viikkoa sitten.
Thaimaalaisten suuresti kunnioittama kuningas Bhumibol Adulyadej on pisimpään hallinnut nykymonarkki. Hän nousi valtaistuimelle vuonna 1946. |

HM KING Bhumibol Adulyadej's health has improved after he underwent a successful operation to remove his gall bladder, according to the latest statement from the Royal Household Bureau.
The operation, which took about an hour and 15 minutes, was performed late on Sunday night at Siriraj Hospital.
The much-revered monarch has been receiving treatment at the Bangkok hospital since last Friday.
The latest statement from the Royal Household Bureau, released yesterday, described His Majesty's post-surgery condition as satisfactory.
"His blood pressure is normal and his temperature has gone down," it said.
The statement said doctors had now given His Majesty antibiotics and a saline drip.
People across the country have prayed for a quick recovery for the King, since learning about his return to Siriraj.
A huge number of Thais headed to the hospital to convey their best wishes to the much-loved monarch.
Sitting on the throne for well over six decades, His Majesty has commanded overwhelming love and respect from his people. He will turn 87 on December 5.
Prime Minister and National Council for Peace and Order chief Prayut Chan-o-Cha and several Cabinet members went to Siriraj yesterday to sign their best wishes for His Majesty's good health. Former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra also went there, separately.
Members of the general public can also write their best wishes for the King in books prepared by the Royal Household Bureau at the hospital.
The signing of best wishes, which can be done between 8am and 6pm, began on Sunday. |

HIS MAJESTY the King has recovered to nearly normal health from his recent laparoscopic gall-bladder operation, the Royal Household Bureau reported yesterday.
His general symptoms are improving, while his heartbeat, blood pressure and breathing are regular.
His Majesty reported reduced pain from the surgical wound, moves around more easily and can eat more. His temperature has dropped to near a normal level.
The blood infection has decreased to a level satisfactory to the royal physicians.
His Majesty is still taking medication and food supplements intravenously, the fifth statement said. |
